Soumitra Pathare
Soumitra Pathare (Course Co-ordinator) is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. He co-authored the WHO Resource Book on Mental Health Law and Human Rights and has contributed to the WHO Mental Health Policy and Service Guidance Package. He has worked as a WHO consultant in various countries like Eritrea, Indonesia, Lesotho, Samoa and Vanuatu assisting them in developing mental health policy and drafting and implementing mental health legislation.
He has also assisted the Ministry of Health, Government of India in amending mental health legislation. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the International Journal of Social Psychiatry.
